Walk 65 (Lake Mountain Snowgum Walk) and walk 66 (Lake Mountain Summit Walk) are open to walkers. There is lots of forest damage so I’d suggest that walkers keep to the trails to aid the regeneration process.

Did the 2 Lake Mountain walks on 8/11/14. THERE ARE NO LIVING ADULT SNOW GUMS ON THE MOUNTAIN. Just tens of thousands of white ghosts. But they are revegetating at their roots. Also a minor typo on pg 159 “continue in a westerly direction out to the Alps Lookout” should be “continue in an easterly direction…”. Map 40 and the track signs make it clear its to the east.
